Who's the Monster?

Azuryt

Name - Azuryt

Species - easkull, humanoid

Age - 23

Azuryt belongs to a humanoid species of an easkull race. The difference between his kind and the non human cousins is the more human appearance as well as intelligence and ability to speak. The humanoid easkulls - also referred to as higher subspecies -they appeared in Ryrim a couple of hundred year ago out of the blue. It is not know where did they come from, but one of most popular theories state they're a result of a 'sick inter-species act'.

Azuryt was born to a single mother, whom he'd lost at the age of 5 during one of their travels. He was found by a couple of different humanoids who raised him along with their own child and when both were old enough the parents moved back south to the shore (they're of marine species, marine but can spend about 2 hours on ground) and they lived in their middle of nowhere for long years, far from anyone else's troubles. Until the main hero ends up being lost there by an enemy. Her presence, and then the moment when that said enemy finds her, costs Azuryt his home, but due to selfish reasons he's going to help her get home. Azuryt's having hard time to get along with the girl cos she's an elf and it was an elf who killed his mother so he holds still kind of a grudge. Maybe not as much as before, but still. And eventually they start to get along and together need to survive hard times.

Personality - After long years of life in almost complete solitude and separation from different cultures Azuryt is not accustomed with many things, nor has many friends and relations. Considering his painful past he's also not really trustworthy with strangers. However, he does not fear people. Actually, he tends to be more blatant with some he doesn't want to get to know. It's later in his life, when our on account of the main protagonist he's quite forced to help her out and by the way learns much more about the world he could wish, that his personality changes and he opens up more to what other people have to offer. Once he gives his full trust to someone, Azuryt's willing to put his own well being at stake.

Not very familiar with many customs he tends to be too confident in terms of speaking his mind. Aggression is also not strange to that easkull. Threatened or irritated he doesn't often hold back to stand up or even kill, especially if it's someone close to him that's endangered.

Allaya

Name – Allaya

Species – elf

Age - 124

Allaya’s past has been somewhat similar to Azuryt’s as far as the absence of parents goes. Both she and her brother, Halford, were found at the citadel gate when they were very little. No one knows who the mother or father were, or whatever happened to them. They were taken care of and raised by the queen and servants for long years until they were offered own house and job positions in the city.

Allaya always was a free spirit; a young explorer who liked to experience and learn about the world more that doing anything else. However, when the 'Plague of Deserters' reached the country and borders were under stricter protection Allaya was no longer allowed to wander off beyond the walls. At that time, her years of youth ended, and young girl turned to books and stories to keep the window open onto the world. She was often spoken of as a daydreamer of sort, or a child that never really grew up, but years of community work and cheerful spirit earned her a good reputation amongst people.
